Survival State of surviving; remaining alive; a natural process resulting in the evolution of organisms best adapted to the environment. One measure of fitness.
Fecundity Power of a species to multiply rapidly; capacity to form reproductive elements. One measure of fitness.
Darwinian fitness The relative probability of survival and reproduction for a genotype. See fitness.
